“A COMPARATIVE STUDY TO ASSESS THE BEHAVIORAL PROBLEM AMONG PRESCHOOL CHILDREN OF EMPLOYED AND UNEMPLOYED MOTHER IN SELECTED SCHOOLS OF KARAD”

Background: - Mental health of a children is an essential part of their overall health and with their physical healthits having interactive relationship. Some times they acquire good skills but sometimes unhealthy skills develop which sometimes it turned up into behavioral problems. As a primary caregiver mother plays an important role in their mental health, the recent studies estimated that 50% of the psychosocial problems of the children are identified by their parents. Time spend by mother with their children, mothers knowledge on behavioral problems and its management plays an important role to find out the behavioral problems in their children.
Methodology:-.A Present Non-experimental comparative study conducted with descriptive approach. 60 mothers were selected, 30 employed mothers and 30 unemployed mothers by adopting purposive sampling technique. Objectives were in the study was To identify the behavioral problems among preschool children of employed and unemployed mothers. After the permission from concern authority and ethical committee of institute data collection were started by using questionnaire on sociodemographic information and behavioral problems and collected data was analyzed as per objectives of the study.
Result:- behavioural problem of physical development 16 (0.53%) present on unemployed mother of preschool children and majority 13(0.43%) behavioural problem present on employed mother of preschool children. Self help skill Activity 26 (0.86%) present on employed mother of preschool children and majority 23(0.76%) behavioural problem present on unemployed mother of preschool children. behavioural problem of language development are 20(0.66%) are equal present in both employed and unemployed mother of preschool children . personality disorder 9(0.3%) present on employed mother of preschool children and majority 1(0.03%) behavioural problem present on unemployed mother of preschool
Conclusion:-. This study result reveals that there is need to be aware about the behavioral problems of preschool children because behavioral problems always require special attention.
