Thermodynamic Assessment of Silver-Europium Binary System

Abstract

The full thermodynamic description of Silver-Europium binary system has been done for the first time, and using the CALPHAD approach, in this work, we treated the liquid and two solution phases, fcc_A1 and bcc_A2, as a substitutional solution model. We used the stoichiometric model to describe the binary intermetallic compounds. The various parameters describing each phase in this binary system have been assessed, then the obtained results are confronted with those gained from literature.
