Objective: The purpose of this research was to evaluate full denture users' understanding of proper denture care and how to avoid discoloration.
Methodology: A cross-sectional, descriptive research was conducted. One hundred people were used in the research. All of these people who needed dental care at the clinic were picked at random. The survey probed respondents' level of cognizance and familiarity with issues including denture discoloration and care. SPSS version 20.0 was used for the analysis of the data. Statistical analysis was performed using a Chi-square test with a 5% significance level (p=0.05).
Results: The majority of patients lacked the necessary desire to do daily denture hygiene maintenance activities and also lacked the information necessary to prevent denture discoloration and maintain denture cleanliness.
Conclusions: It was determined that, within the bounds of this research, full denture users had a low level of knowledge about denture hygiene and oral care.
