An transcript is an important document and is proof of the academic record of the learner which contains a comprehensive breakdown of the learner’s academic performance throughout the journey of their bachelor’s or master’s degree. . One of the main competences blockchain technology has is the way distribution and sharing of documents in certifiable ways without trailing control of facts and data possession. Distributing and verifying scholar’s certification for higher study requests or for job enrolment involves several stages that are laborious, and several weeks to complete. Maximum universities around the globe use centralized arrangements to control the complete process when a graduate applies for postgraduate studies. Our goal in this paper is to automate the procedure of transcript generation and store the details of the same in a decentralized storage system. To achieve the same, we are using blockchain technology which is an emergent technology and has gained popularity in various sectors due to its decentralized nature. Using blockchain technology to validate storage and share documents not just provides legitimacy but can also reduce time considerably. Many businesses and organizations have benefited from the use of its decentralized storage. The main goal of blockchain is to store digital information and has changed the way we store information. Blockchain is immutable therefore added data can’t be altered or edited. It does not store the data in a central location instead the data is copA single ied and spread across the network, distributed digital ledger collectively maintained by a network of computers, called nodes. The only point of failure is eliminated with the use of decentralized storage and it provides enhanced security and privacy. In this paper, we have proposed a framework for generating student transcripts and illustrated how we can use blockchain technology to store a student's transcript details in decentralized storage.
