Abstract

One of the contemporary pieces of literature that attract readers from around the world is travelogues and travel memoirs. Very few travelogues have the capacity to reach the true essence of a city. The era of travel journals, trip reports, travel articles, and travel memoirs has come. A person learns about the cultures, languages, and customs of other people by traveling. Everyone loves to travel and most love to explain how they enjoyed the adventures that happened on their journeys. Travel accounts that reveal the experiences of Indian voyagers and their journey in different places including exotic lands, meeting different cultural and social backgrounds, and offer images. Travel writing generally gives detailed information about the attraction of a particular place; induces readers to get tempted about the place and makes them spend their vacation in that place. They depict the cultural diversities of a region in terms of language, food, politics, and life of people. It is essential for a travel writer to cross cultural boundaries and allow one to a new place and new culture altogether. Travel writing is unique and can be written in a variety of formats depending on the information which are going to convey to the readers and the audience.
