A Study To Assess The Knowledge And Attitude Regarding Covid 19 Vaccinations Among In Selected Rural Areas Of Gwalior M.P.
Abstract
A Descriptive Co relational Study was conducted to assess the knowledge, and attitude regarding Covid 19 Vaccination among rural community people in the selected rural community of Gwalior.
The Objectives of the study were
to assess the knowledge attitude of rural community peoples regarding Covid Vaccination.
Find out the association of knowledge attitude with selected socio-demographic variables regarding Covid Vaccination.
Method and Results
The research approach adopted for the study is the non-experimental approach. The researcher selected 60 rural community people in the rural community using a convenience sampling technique. Data was collected using a knowledge questionnaire, which consisted of 30 items and 20 attitude and acceptance statements. The tool was prepared by the investigator and validated by experts. Reliability was established by the split-half method using Karl Pearson’s correlation formula. The reliability obtained was 0.85, which proved that the tool was reliable. The results revealed that the majority of subjects 46% were having moderately adequate knowledge, 5% had adequate knowledge and 49% had inadequate knowledge. Among 60 rural community people 0% had inadequate attitude and acceptance, 13% had moderately adequate Attitude and acceptance and 87% had adequate Attitude and acceptance. The associations between the level of knowledge attitude and acceptance with socio-demographic variables were identified by using the Chi-square test. The demographic variables such as age, gender living area marital status education occupation previous knowledge, were found to be significant with the level of knowledge. Demographic variables such as age, gender, and education are found to be significant in the level of Attitude and acceptance.
Conclusion
Acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine is an essential determinant of vaccine uptake and the likelihood of controlling the COVID-19 pandemic. Developing strategies to decrease public hesitation and increase trust is vital for implementing vaccination programs.
The present study insists upon the need for the improvement in Knowledge of Covid Vaccination among rural community peoples. The findings emphasize the need for implementing structured Educational strategies for improving the Knowledge level of rural community people regarding Covid Vaccination.
