Abstract

Purpose: This paper aims to figure out the marginal contributions of human resources management practices in accomplishing sustainable development.

Theoretical Framework: This paper studied the strategies pertaining to the sustainable model practiced by the Indian telecom industry through HR practices and procedures such as employee commitment, training and development, and job satisfaction. For this study, a considerable review of the literature available is done to find the advances in sustainable development.

Design/methodology/Approach: In this study, data was collected by administering questionnaires to the respondents by following the stratified random sampling method, the data collected were systematically studied by adopting appropriate statistical tools

Findings: In this study, subsequent analysis on the basis of primary and secondary data in relation to the several HR practices it is found that the foremost HR practices that contribute to sustainable development are Job satisfaction, Employee Commitment, and Training and development.

Research, Practical & Social Implications: HR is responsible to develop a sustainable culture where the employees possess a sense of gratefulness and reverence towards the organisation and contribute significantly to the processes aiming at the overall sustainability of the organisation.

Originality/Value: This study particularly aims to find the significant contribution of HR practices to achieving sustainable development.
