IMPACT OF MICROFINANCE ON SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOOD DURING PANDEMIC: A WAY FOR POVERTY ERADICATION

Abstract

This research article is an attempt to investigate the impact of microfinance on sustainable livelihood which is a way to eradicate poverty in rural and urban areas of India. Aim of microfinance is to provide accessibility of financial services to everyone living in India. Under the microfinance schemes funds are provided to poor and small entrepreneurs. Sustainable livelihood is the measure to demonstrate proper economic development of poor people. To examine the impact of microfinance primary data has been used. A structured questionnaire has been used to collect the responses from respondents and various statistical tools has been applied with the help of SPSS. Findings of the study indicates significant impact of microfinance on sustainable livelihood of poor.
