ANALYSIS OF INDIA'S ENGAGEMENT WITH CHINA IN THE MULTILATERAL ORGANIZATION: A CHANGE IN GLOBAL ORDER

As the world witnessed the march of Republic of India and People's Republic of China (PRC), the two newly became independent countries in mid-twentieth century, towards attainment of their freedom and territorial sovereignty amidst the hostile international environment of cold war between the two superpowers, there have been significant transformations in the bilateral relationship in the last few decades. Both the Asian nations chose their own respective foreign policy and marched on their path of economic development based on their needs and requirements of their population. The modern bilateral relationship between India and China transformed with cooperative spirit amidst the hostile international order after the collapse of the USSR. The cooperation between India and China in SCO, BRICS and other global forums provided opportunities to both sides to enhance their dialogue and put forward develop economic cooperation in the present era of complex interdependence. Evolution of India and China as the two fastest growing economies played predominant role in present times. Hence, the relationship between both countries witnessed many crucial transformation, and Indian response to China, in all international forums, through diplomatic missions, defence capabilities and economic development led to reform in the global power structure reflecting the contemporary realties of balance of power in the first two decades of the 21st century.
