The degree research was developed with the objective of presenting a proposal using the inverted learning model to strengthen investigative skills in students at a Higher Technological Institute of Ecuador, based on the theories of constructivism that helps students learn not only strategies and techniques but also how to apply them in research processes in a motivating and autonomous way during their academic development. The applied methodology is basic type, purposeful descriptive level, with a quantitative approach, with the total population of ninety students who were surveyed, applying two questionnaires with their respective validation. The results were tabulated using the Excel tool. Where it was found that 63% of the students have little relevant knowledge about flipped learning, likewise 77% of the students showed average skills in research training, which should be reinforced by teachers with innovative strategies. The result was the elaboration and presentation of a training proposal with themes aligned to flipped learning that strengthen the competences of the students in these two variables, thereby facilitating the work carried out by the teachers of the educational institution.
