Abstract

Verrucous Carcinoma is a rarely occurring, well-differentiated, low-grade squamous cell carcinoma. We describe a case of verrucous carcinoma of the mandible in a 55-year-old male patient who had an exophytic growth in the anterior part of the mandible. The growth in the edentulous anterior mandible was painless, but the patient was disturbed by the increase in size and alteration of form. Incisional biopsy and histopathology revealed verrucous Carcinoma. The treatment chosen was the middle third mandibulectomy and reconstruction. Very often the clinician rethinks the treatment modality chosen especially when going in for extensive surgery.
