Optimization of the Methanol Rectification Process in the Production of Formaldehyde

This paper shows the optimization of the main parameters of a rectification column in the production of methanol. A mathematical model of the rectification process based on the concentration of proposed components. The calculation of the rectification column in methanol production was carried out to determine their optimal design and technological parameters. The dependences of the dimethyl ether (DME) content in the columns, the methanol content on the last plate, the amount of energy supplied to the bottom of the column, the amount of energy supplied to the bottom of the column were plotted.
